Founded in 2009 by Dr. Philippe Bencteux, Robocath designs, develops and markets intelligent robotic solutions dedicated to the treatment of cardio and neurovascular diseases. A player in the digital transformation of the medical sector, these developments aim to increase the gesture performed and secure interventions thanks to intelligent and connected technologies.
Robocath develops robotic solutions that integrate unique and proprietary bionic technology to secure and optimize coronary angioplasty. This medical procedure consists of revascularizing the heart muscle by implanting one or more implants (stents) in the arteries that irrigate it. An operation of this type is performed every 30 seconds in the world. These robotic solutions are designed to intervene with precision and perform very specific gestures, all in an improved working environment. Thanks to their open architecture, they are compatible with most coronary angioplasty devices and catheterization rooms.
Robocath obtained CE marking in 2019 for its first robotic solution R-One. In a prospective, multicenter, non-randomized, single-arm clinical study, the efficacy and safety of R-One were demonstrated with a technical success rate greater than 95% and no major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). The solution is now present in Europe, Africa and China.
